| 2 | Advocacy for establishment of National & State level Regulatory framework for MLS Professionals | ICMLS has been striving hard along with other Associations under Joint Forum of Medical Technologists of India (JFMTI) for establishment of a national regulatory body for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) for overall improvement in professional education & services. Finally, the National Commission for Allied Healthcare Professions Act (NCAHP)-2021 was notified on 28th March, 2021 and NCAHP is required to be established under this Act |
| 3 | Establishment of NMLPW (India) | ICMLS began celebrating National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (NMLPW) from 17th to 23rd July, every year just after its formation. NMPLW has become a national annual celebration for medical laboratory professionals all over India |

| 8 | Cadre Review of Medical Laboratory Staff of Central Government and INIs | The cadre review model was accepted by the 7th CPC which paved the way for setting up of uniformity in pay scales, revision of designations, entry level professional qualification, promotional avenues etc. This has also led to change in the nomenclature from Laboratory Technician to Medical Laboratory Technologist |
| 9 | ICMLS Awards | ICMLS established various Awards which are given during ICMLS Conferences. |
| 10 | Grant of Allowances | The leadership of ICMLS pursued the matter of HPCA/PCA legally through JFMTI and settled the issues for grant of HPCA to all AHPs irrespective of group of employees. The matter regarding settlement of other allowances is also pending in Court |
