On behalf of the Indian Confederation of Medical laboratory Science(ICMLS) and ICMLS-JIPMER Puducherry Branch, we take great pleasure in inviting you to the 4th National Conference of Indian Confederation of Medical Laboratory Science (ICMLS-2023) Scheduled to be held at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, JIPMER, Puducherry during 30th September - 1st October 2023.

This Scientific conference is a geat opportunity for Laboratory Professionals and Students belonging to various INI’s, Central/State govt. & Private institutions and Hospitals to exchange knowledge and latest developments about their profession in person. The theme of the conference “NCAHP Act-2021: Anticipated Roadmap for Medical laboratory Professionals” is a step in right direction towards a brighter future for medical lab science professionals. Participants will not only gain insights to the professional knowledge but also get the opportunity to discuss with renowned subject experts from reputed instituttions about their professional issues and future career prospects.

ICMLS as a national federation body has been actively involved in bringing together the medical lab professionals across the country on a common platform. It is a permanent member of International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences (IFBLS) & affiliated with Asian Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists(AAMLS) as well as the Joint Forum of Medical Technologists of India(JFMTI). ICMLS is actively engaged in standardization, advancment and betterment of Medical Laboratory Professionals through conducting various seminars, CME’s and conferences. It is presently contributing towards revamping the curriculum of medical lab science through participation of 7 ICMLS members as subject experts undertaken by MoHFW, Govt. of India. We look forward to welcoming you to be a part of ICMLS 2023 Scientific Fest in beautiful city of Puducherry.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER)

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health. JIPMER spreads over 192 acres. The institution houses one administrative block, one academic centre, one nursing college, seven hospital blocks, seven accessory services buildings and four residential complexes. 12 broad types of medical, nursing and allied health science courses covering all disciplines in healthcare from basic to super speciality training are conducted.

  • Only 40% registrations are available for Medical Laboratory students on first-come, first-served basis. Certificate from HOD of concerned institute or Institute ID card is mandatory for student registration.
